Profile
The Oregon Park District is a parks and recreation municipality in Oregon Illinois. The Oregon Park District was formed in December of 1966. The Districts service area covers approximately 102 square miles serving over 7,000 residents. The District’s primary recreation facility, the Nash Recreation Center, houses the administrative offices, as well as meeting rooms, a gymnasium, fitness center and indoor pool. The District owns or manages 10 Park Sites totaling 160 acres.

By a community-elected, five member, Board of Commissioners, each of whom serves four years.
Illinois Distinguished Accredited Agency
The Oregon Park District has been an Illinois Distinguished Accredited Agency since 2008! The program is sponsored by the Illinois Association of Park Districts (IAPD) and the Illinois Park and Recreation Association (IPRA). The goal of the Illinois Distinguished Accreditation program is to improve the delivery of recreation services to the residents of Illinois through a voluntary comprehensive evaluation process. The desired result is to improve the quality of life for Illinois residents and to recognize those agencies that provide this quality service. The Oregon Park District is proud to have achieved the accreditation!
