Shelter Reservations

The Oregon Park District owns and/or maintains 10 parks and recreation areas.  There are 8 shelters available to rent for a small fee.  More information on our shelters and pricing, can be found in our Activity Guide.  Reservations can be made at the Nash Recreation Center, 304 S. Fifth Street, Oregon, by calling (815)732-3101, or online.

Upper Park West Shelter

Upper Park West Shelter

This Shelter is located at the top of the hill at Park West.  There are 6 picnic tables accommodating 30-40 people.  The amphitheater, Solar Reef Statue and Splash Pad all within view.  Parking is available at the lower lot next to the Ball Diamonds or the upper lot off of Oregon Trail Road.

Lower Park West Shelter

This Shelter is located next to the Splash Pad Park West.  There are 10 picnic tables accommodating 40-60 people.  Parking is available at the lower lot next to the Ball Diamonds.  The Splash Pad and Playground are a stones throw away!

Park East Inland

Park East – Inland Shelter

This Shelter is located on east side of Park East near the Pine Tree Grove.  There are 20 picnic tables accommodating 100-120 people.  Parking is available at the lot next to the Ball Diamond.

Park East River Shelter

Park East – River Shelter

This Shelter is located on the River side of Park East near the Rock River.  There are 9 picnic tables accommodating 40-50 people.  Parking is available at the circle lot near the damn overlook.

Lions Park Shelter

This Shelter is located at Lions Park between the playground and the ball diamond.  There are 5 picnic tables accommodating 20-30 people.  Parking is available on the street next to the Ball Diamond.

Kiwanis Park Shelter

This Shelter is located directly on the Rock River above the dam.  There are 4 picnic tables accommodating 20-40 people.  Parking is available near the shelter.

Park East Shelter

Mix Park Shelter

This Shelter is located on the north side of Mix Park next to the playground.  There are 6 picnic tables accommodating 30-40 people.  There is no shelter rental fee for the Mix Park Shelter.  The Mix Park property was left in perpetuity to the City of Oregon with the stipulation that there can be no fees charged for use.

Fairgrounds Park Shelter

This Shelter is located in the middle of Fairgrounds park next to the Playground.   There are 10 picnic tables accommodating 40-60 people.

All individuals renting a shelter will be required to sign a shelter rental agreement.  All park users must also obey all park use ordinances.
