Board Vacancy

Thank you for your interest in the Board of Park Commissioner vacancy. The Board is conducting a search for interested candidates to fill the seat held by Maia Johnson. Interested candidates must meet the following criteria, as identified by the Illinois Park Code 70 ILCS 1205/2-11:
• Candidates for Commissioner must be a resident of the park district for at least one year prior to April 1, 2025.
• Candidates for Commissioner cannot be in arrears in payment of a tax or other indebtedness due to the park district.
• Candidates cannot have been convicted of any infamous crime, bribery, perjury, or other felony.

If you meet the criteria identified above, the Board of Commissioners ask you to submit the following documents for consideration for appointment:
• Letter of interest
• Application
• Candidate Qualifications

All application materials are to be sent to Haley Mizner at haley@oregonpark.org or mailed to Oregon Park District, c/o Board Vacancy, PO Box 237, Oregon, IL 61061. Application materials will not be accepted after May 15, 2024.

Interviews for qualified candidates will be conducted by the Board of Commissioners after May 31, 2024.

The term for the vacant seat will begin in June 2024 and will expire May 2025.
