Volunteering is good for both the volunteer and the community. OPD is proud to partner with Nachusa Grasslands to promote volunteering, conservation and wellness. On select Saturdays in 2024, all volunteers who report for Nachusa Grasslands weekly volunteer days will receive a Nash Recreation Center Day Pass. Any decisions regarding workdays and weather plans will be made by Nature
Conservancy Staff. Volunteers will be working to collect seeds from priority native plant species to be used in ongoing prairie restoration efforts.
