Extended Pool Closure

Improvements to the pool gutter and trough system are underway. The contractor has removed all coping stones from the gutter and trough and has identified additional areas of concern. The District has elected to address the additional areas of concern while the trough is exposed and avoid supplementary closures in the future. Additional improvements will include: 1) Fixing a broken pipe, 2) Replace waterproofing membrane material within the trough, 3) Reconstruct a new bedding rail along the southwest wall, and 4) repair the 2” cap on the trough wall along the west wall. Each of these items were undetectable until the contractor was able to remove the coping stones.
The pool closure will be extended to address each of the necessary improvements to ensure the integrity of the pool structure. The pool will now be re-opened on May 15th. We apologize for the inconvenience and ask for your patience as we work diligently to improve the pool infrastructure.
Nash Recreation Center passholders that will not be utilizing the facility during the pool closure may turn their passes into the front counter to extend their passes for the 30 days of closure.
