July 16 – Arlington Race Track Day Trip

Spend the day at Arlington International Racecourse in Arlington Heights. Enjoy live thoroughbred horse-racing with friends and family. Spend an exciting day watching or wagering. Purchase a program at the track for $4 (if desired) and enjoy a variety of food choices and beverages at the track at your own expense. Food can be brought in although there is a cooler fee based on size. Trip fee includes transportation by Park District van and Racetrack admission.  Register by June 29.


July 31 – John Deere & Jumers Gaming Day

Join us for a day in the Quad Cities. Spend time downtown Moline at the John Deere Pavilion, shopping, dining, walking by the Mississippi, taking a ride on the Channel Cat Water Taxi, or sampling fine beers at Bent River Brewing Co. Then we will spend 3 1/2 hrs at Jumer’s Casino for fun and gaming and their delicious buffet (included in trip fee). This Vegas-style casino features 1,000 slots, 22 table games, live poker and more.  Register by July 16.


August 9 – Baseball Bus Trip

The Oregon Park District will be heading to Miller Park in Milwaukee to watch the Milwaukee Brewers take on the Chicago Cubs! Miller Park has a retractable roof, so the game will play, rain or shine. The chartered bus will depart from the Park West parking lot at 9 a.m. and will arrive in plenty of time to take in the pre-game festivities at the ball park. Space is limited and seats are in the Bleachers. Game time is 1.10 p.m. Must be 21 years of age or older to attend. Registration is open until sold out.


August 11 – Entertainment in the Gardens Day Trip

Enjoy a short trip in the van to Rockford’s beautiful Anderson Japanese Gardens. Join friends and family for an evening of live entertainment (TBA) after touring the gardens. Bring a folding lawn chair or blanket. You are also welcome to bring a picnic or purchase dinner from on-site vendors. All beverages must be purchased on site.  Register by August 3.


November 25 – Broadway Musical Frozen

Enjoy a day in Chicago. Do a little holiday shopping, enjoy lunch and then an unforgettable theatrical experience at the Cadillac Palace Theatre. Frozen is melting hearts on Broadway placing in the top 10 best-selling shows every week since opening in March 2018. A mysterious secret. A family torn apart. Two sisters searching for love, but they’ll learn that to find it they’ll have to look inside themselves first. It features the songs you know and love from the original Disney film.
